Stockport’s finest Blossoms have seen their major support slot on The Killers ‘Imploding the Mirage’ tour postponed until May 2022, due to the ongoing uncertainty caused by the effect of covid on large-scale music events.

The band had been due to tour with The Killers alongside Sam Fender, Manic Street Preachers and Supergrass, but will now have to wait until next year to join Brandon Flowers and co.
On the brighter side, they have recently announced on Twitter that they will be joining the likes of Richard Ashcroft and The Streets in performing at Victorious Festival, Portsmouth, which is set to go ahead, as far as we know, on 27th August.
Following on from the success of their third album ‘Foolish Loving Spaces’ in January 2020, the bands second number one, they overcame the disappointment of a prematurely cancelled major headline tour, and used the lockdown period to get straight to work on a fourth album ‘Blossoms in Lockdown’, which mostly comprised of covers and reworked tracks.
They’ve also used the time to get involved with various charities, such as the NHS tour bus raffle, and the food poverty fighting virtual festival ‘Music Feeds’, as well as starting their very own quirky podcast ‘Pubcast’, which most recently featured the likes of Tim Burgess, Phil Foden, and Fearne Cotton, amongst others.
It's fair to say, we at Manchester Music cannot wait to see what these lads will do when eventually unleashed from these loosening lockdown restraints.-
